Aurora set coordinates into the shuttle’s computer and set the shielding to maximum power. "There. I just hope my father won’t be able to find us."
"Aurora.." came a voice from behind her. She turned to find Modaine struggling to sit up.
"Wait, the containment field," said Aurora as she punched a couple keys.
The field disappeared and Modaine sat up. He rubbed his head and then looked around. "What the..?"
"I could not let them kill you. Even if you are Sklavus, I couldn't.."
"Couldn't what?" asked Modaine.
"Let you go again," answered Aurora. "I never got over losing you. When I learned you were alive, I had to make my move."
Modaine stood up and walked over to Aurora. He knelt down in front of her and lifted her chin, meeting eyes with her. "I am unsure of what to make of all this. I just wish I could understand what is happening."
Suddenly, the console beeped loudly.
"Oh, no. The Starchase has sent a shuttle out for us,†said Aurora.
"Your father?" asked Chance. Aurora nodded. "I can understand why he wants to kill me, but if there were a way to just talk with him, let him know that the Sklavus program has been suppressed.â€
"It doesn't matter. Sklavus destroyed millions, leaving galaxies deserted, and putting a serious wound within USI," said Aurora. "He will not stop until he ends Sklavus, once and for all." Aurora punched a button. "Father, I know you are onboard that shuttle. Please, you have to listen to me."
"" said Seccour.
"Kerok.. Admiral, listen to me, we.." started Chance.

On the Hexan: "Now!" commanded Kevcabana. Wrolk Tray hit a button, killing all major systems on the Hexan. The ship was nearly dead, the energy output at a minimal. Kev watched the creature on the hull, it seemed uncomfortable at the sudden loss of food. “Fire the torpedo,†he ordered.
“Yes, Sir,†Vok responded. The torpedo shot out and away from the Hexan.
“Come on, take the bait,†Kev said. The creature hesitated a few moments, then took off after the high-energy torpedo. It finally caught up with it and started to surround it when it exploded. "Fire!" Kev yelled.
A volley of torpedoes shot out from the Hexan hitting their target. It wasn't long before the creature ruptured apart, sending pieces everywhere.
"We did it!" called out Vok.
"Charge all weapons and fire on the Starchase!"
The alarms suddenly went off. “Sir, sensors have located a shuttle being launched.â€
“A shuttle?†Kev asked. That wasn’t exactly a tactical move from another ship.
“They just tried to lock on to it with a tractor beam, and missed. Sensors indicate two life forms. Sir, one matches the readings of Admiral Modaine,†Tray reported.
“Hold your fire. Tray, can we get a lock on them, and beam them to the Hexan?â€
“Yes, but we’ll have to weaken their shields first,†he answered. “I don’t suggest firing upon a small ship, but the tractor beam could weaken them.â€
“Like the Starchase was doing. Okay, do it,†Kev ordered.
"No, Manaka, I love him. My life is his," said Aurora.

Chance stepped up to Aurora and lifted her to her feet, holding on to her arms. "Your father is right. If it happened then, it can happen now."
Aurora shook her arms loose from Chance's grip and then looked him in the eyes. A moment later, she stepped closer, placing her hand behind his head, pulling him close. "I love you," she said and then kissed him deeply.
She suddenly was lost in the feeling of the kiss. It had been so long since she had been in Chance's arms. It felt like she had returned to the home she had lost. She never wanted it to end, but suddenly the shuttle started violently shaking. Aurora was nearly thrown to the floor, but Chance caught her.
"Your father?" he asked her.
Aurora scanned the sensors. "No, it's your ship. They have locked a transporter beam on us."
Chance looked over the scanners. "It was inevitable that they would come after me. I'm their commanding officer after all."
Aurora frowned. "They are trying to hail us." She looked at Chance with pleading in her eyes. "Don't...don't go back. Don't leave me again."
Chance didn't know what to say. Suddenly he felt the cool grip of a transporter beam. He and Aurora materialized in the transporter room of the Hexan. The transporter operator looked at him. "Admiral, are you okay?"
"I'm fine." He paused. "There is another shuttle from the Starchase out there. Can you get a lock on who is inside it?"
The transporter operator worked at his station. "I'll need a few moments to break through the shuttle's shielding."
Chance's shoulder comm beeped. “â€
"Chance here."
“â€
"Yes...we will be having a couple visitors coming onboard. Prepare a meeting in the conference lounge. All senior officers."
“â€
Suddenly the transporter activated, and Admiral Kerok Seccour appeared. He looked around, disoriented for a moment to find himself no longer on the shuttle. Then he saw Chance and lunged at him, going straight for his neck.
