Chance ducked from Kerok’s attack, and then grabbed him by the neck and tumbled to the floor. Seccour retaliated by placing a foot in Modaine's chest and flipping him into the opposite wall. As Chance recovered, he blocked a series of punches and kicks, getting a lucky punch to Seccour’s jaw, and then a spin kick to his shoulder, sending him to the floor. "Kerok, wait.." Chance started, but Seccour quickly got to his feet, drawing his sword. Chance, desperate, picked up a chair and readied himself for Seccour’s attack. The sword swung out in a series of head-chopping swings, but Chance dodged them, lucky not to lose and ear in the process. Aurora, unsure of what to make of it all, drew her kryss and threw it out, burying it into the wall between to the two warriors, stopping the battle. Seccour and Chance both looked at Aurora, and then at each other. "Stop it, both of you," commanded Aurora. "Please, Kerok, just give me a minute to explain," pleaded Chance. Seccour sheathed his sword and waited. Chance put down the chair. “I am not exactly sure how to tell you this and get you to believe me, but Sklavus has been suppressed, and the program has been altered to.." "I know of the alteration, Chance." Seccour broke in. "It made no difference. In the next two years, Takhisis will make one final attempt to kidnap you again and bring back her beloved Sklavus, putting an end to Modaine once and for all. It was at that time that Sklavus made a huge attempt at destroying the Tryst station." Seccour lowered his head and got quiet. "He killed over three thousand new recruits in the process. He then put an end to the Avalon, Stingray, and Gibson. He ended by destroying over twelve hundred planets, putting an even greater hurt on USI. It took the sacrifice of the Chaos and her entire crew to destroy Sklavus." "Father," Aurora spoke up, "that all can be changed. Now that Chance knows, the necessary steps can be made where Takhisis cannot get him back." "I have thought of that as well," said Seccour. "I doubt Takhisis can be stopped." "I am willing to bet nobody took the time to use the information I have to good use," said Modaine. "The answer is here." He said, pointing to his head. “It would not matter, you do not have enough information to prepare you for what is coming.” "Hold on," said Chance. "It is obvious we are not getting anywhere right now. Perhaps we could talk this over and inform everyone of what happened." "It is worth a try," suggested Aurora. Seccour finally nodded in agreement. "Good. Please let the Starchase know of our plans. Then we might make some progress," Chance said. "You are welcome to stay and be our guest." Seccour was silent for a few moments. Then he stood up and left the transporter room. Aurora sighed in relief and sat down. "I hope he listens," she said. Chance stepped up to her and held out his hand. He felt a burning in his chest, a feeling of pride for Aurora and her defiant nature. Aurora took his hand and moved closer. Chance pulled her into his arms and looked her deeply in the eyes. Both stood quiet for a moment and then Chance kissed her deeply, pouring out his heart and opening the door to his very soul. "{I just want you to know that I appreciate your attempts to save me, and..I love you.}" he said to her in her mind.

Seccour entered the corridor, and was washed with a wave of deja vu. It had been over 30 years since he had seen his ship. Though he had commanded other vessels, the Hexan would always be his ship. To lose her was a great loss to him, almost like losing a personal friend. He entered the galley, and looked around, taking it all in. And then, he saw her....she was sitting at a table by herself. "Imzadi..." he breathed. Tempest looked around when she heard the voice in her head. Her eyes widened when she saw Kerok Seccour, standing a few feet away. She surged to her feet. "Kerok? But you...you're..." She studied his features. The skin around his eyes was aged slightly, and he seemed a little stiffer in his movements. "Of course," she smiled. "You're from the future." He moved up to her. "No, you're from the past," he whispered, his breath tantalizing against her face. He slowly reached his hand up, and brushed a wisp of her hair from her forehead. "Imzadi...it has been so long..." "27 years, from what I hear." Her voice level dropped with each word, until the last was spoken in a whisper. She stared in shock at him as he used his power. Kerok lifted his hand, and brushed it lightly against her cheek. Slowly, he leaned down towards her. The electricity that was radiating from him amazed Tempest. His lips brushed hers...and then the Hexan was rocked by a blast. The red alert klaxons went off. “” Kevcabana announced. Seccour stared longingly into Tempest's eyes. "Later, my Imzadi," he said. Then he turned on his heel and left the galley. Tempest fell back into her chair, all of her energy suddenly spent.

"Sir, the Hexan has just transported Admiral Seccour on their ship." "What?!" Captain Jenkins stood up in shock. "They have the Admiral?" "It would appear so, Sir," the ops officer replied. "So, they are playing hardball, are they?" she asked through gritted teeth. "Tactical, target their secondary system. Cripple them as much as possible, but not enough to put the Admiral in danger." "Yes, Sir," he replied. A volley of torpedoes impacted on the Hexan’s hull. “Medium damage in their engineering and weapons sections,” came the report. The Starchase suddenly shuddered violently. “What was that? They are returning fire?” she asked. “No, Sir, the area is unstable. We are feeling shocks from the rift.” “We are being hailed by the Hexan,” the ops officer announced. Kevcabana appeared on the viewscreen. “Starchase! Hold your fire!” “Return the Admiral or I will destroy you!” she said back. “You will destroy us all. We’ve already established this area is unstable. If you don’t want to destroy your future, or your past, then hold your fire.” “Where is Admiral Seccour?” she demanded. The doors to the bridge of the Hexan opened and Admiral Seccour walked in. His presence demanded respect from the crew, and it instantly fell silent on the bridge. "Right here, Captain," he answered. "Admiral, are you unhurt?" "Yes, and hold your fire, Jenkins. Modaine and I have come to a temporary agreement." "You have agreed to help that threat?" she asked, surprise apparent in her voice. "No, we have agreed to talk. I would ask that you come over to the Hexan within the hour to be a part of these discussions." "Admiral, I can't believe you would..." Suddenly the Starchase rocked from another blast. On the viewscreen, the Hexan took another hit. Kev turned to Lt. Tray. "Another shock wave from the rift?" "No, Sir," he reported. "A fleet of Darkarian ships have just moved into our vicinity and opened fire."
