Kev and his wife Robin were walking towards the dining area when Aurora, dressed in full USI Regalia, caught up with them. "Excuse me, Commander," she said. "Aurora, you’re looking splendid this evening. How did you feel about seeing yourself forty years from now?" "That's what I wanted to speak to you about. When I asked her…um, me…about my Father, she said that he was alive and was serving in USI again as Fleet Admiral." "So he's alive in the future. That's a neat trick." Kev said with a look of concern on his face. "Its entirely possible," chimed in Robin. "It is?" Kev said. "Certainly. With what we know about your Metorian background and with all the implants that your Father has had given to him over the years. It is very possible for him to awake from his death. I find your father a fascinating study,” Robin said. "Well, that’s in the future, but right now we better deal with the present situation. Though are present situation does deal with the future…” Kev trailed off. Aurora laughed, and, putting on her most regal look she entered the galley. Kev and Robin followed. Inside the galley already were Chance and Captain Jenkins, the older Aurora, and a few other future USI crewmembers that Kev hadn’t met yet. Anton was also there talking to Tray. Aurora separated from the two and moved towards the bar. They strode up to Chance and the Captain, and he introduced Robin to Captain Jenkins. "Ah yes Robin Trell. This encounter with your ship Commander is a boon to us. You see, Robin here has gone on to be one of the most respected scientists USI has ever produced," she said with a smile. Kev could see Robin glow inside with pride. "You better not tell us too much of the future, Captain, as the more we know, the more we can change." Kev said. "Are we still in a state where we are your prisoners?" he asked, turning serious. "No Commander I give you back your freedom, but, for the time being at least, I think it wise that we stay very close together until we can sort this out." "Agreed, Captain."

After leaving Kevcabana and Robin, Aurora walked towards the bar. A not-so-friendly man looked down at her. "Who are you?" she asked. "Lt. JG Connor Ashe, at your service," he said. Aurora looked at him for a few moments. "You don't look like a bartender." "I am a jack of all trades," he responded, a mysterious smile on his face. Aurora was about to make some comment on that, when Tempest walked into the galley, drawing most of the attention to her. Aurora rolled her eyes. Her mother always knew how to make an entrance. Tempest walked over to where Kevcabana and Captain Jenkins were standing, a polite smile on her face, and engaged them in conversation. A few moments later, she spotted the older Aurora sitting at a table by herself, looking out towards the stars. A curious look on her face, she walked over to her. “Well, do you know how to make a drink?” Aurora asked, turning back to him. He looked down at her. “If I remember, correctly, you are a young one.” Aurora scowled. “I’m not that young. I’m 11.” Connor barked out a laugh. She glared at him. “Give me some Andorian Fizz. It doesn’t have alcohol, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble giving it to someone so ‘young’.” “One Andorian Fizz coming up.”

Aurora looked at the stars outside of the Hexan. Somehow they seemed more important to her than these people on this ship. She didn’t trust any of them; she couldn’t allow herself to trust them. Seeing these people again…Aurora had to fight off the memories. She turned her look away from the window, and looked down. Her mother was approaching; she could sense it. Finally she looked up as her mother approached. Before Tempest could open her mouth to speak, she lashed out at her. "What are you people trying to pull here? First you make someone who looks like me, and now my mother? Next you'll have an impersonator of my father here as well." Tempest simply said, "May I sit down?" "Yes, feel free," Aurora said sarcastically. "After all, I haven't seen you in 27 years, might as well catch up on all the old times." Tempest sat down. "27 years?" "Yes, I ordered you to your own death," Aurora said, a smug smile on her face. Tempest turned a paler shade. "My own death?" "At least you saved your precious *Imzadi's* life, not that he mattered that much to you when you did so." Tempest was confused. "Aurora, are you referring to your father?" "What, you have more Imzadis than one?" "It's just that...he's dead." "Why does everyone get this wrong on this ship? If you're going to recreate our past, you should at least try to do it with historical accuracy. I still don't know what you plan to accomplish by doing so. Everyone knows the Hexan disappeared over 40 years ago." "Disappeared to here," Tempest murmured. Aurora turned her back to Tempest. Enough was enough, and she no longer felt like dealing with the emotions that were playing in her heart. Chance watched in anguish as the grown-up Aurora attacked her mother in pure hate. He wished that someday they could put aside their differences and talk peace. "Aurora.. I.." Tempest started. "Leave me alone." Aurora said, in a low, angry tone. With that, she turned and left the dinner hall, leaving Tempest without words. Chance jumped to his feet. "You will have to excuse me for a moment," Chance said to Captain Jenkins and the rest at the table, and followed Aurora out the doors. He caught up to her quickly. "Aurora, wait a moment." "Not you too," Aurora said, turning to face Chance. "You are supposed to be dead." "Would you like it better that way?" Aurora's expression changed to that of anger once again. "That is how I remember you." "Aurora, we are friends.." "Perhaps at one time, but Takhisis changed you for good." "That has yet to come about, things could be different.." "Forget it, Chance. You are destined to become one of them. It was that way before you joined with USI." Chance paused for a moment. "Aurora, what happened to you? Why are you so insistent on being distant from us? I have always tried to be there for you." Aurora slapped Chance with a quick right hand and turned to leave. Chance stepped back from the slap and reached out, grabbing her by the arm, spinning her around. She swung out, but Chance was quick to block and then spin her around again, pinning her arm behind her back. "LET GO!" she yelled. She struggled for a moment and then began to cry. Chance let go of her arm and hugged her from behind. Aurora sobbed uncontrollably and turned around, burying her face into Chance's chest. "I am here, my friend.." he said. Aurora hugged him tightly around the waist and calmed down slowly. Chance hugged her back. "Chance, I have to tell you something." Aurora said, looking up into his eyes. "All this is too much for me, you, alive.. seeing myself when I was younger. I hesitated to come aboard when I saw the ship and learned Kev was onboard." "Why?" asked Chance. "I was afraid to see you again." "I don't understand." Aurora took a deep breath and wiped the tears from her eyes. "My father deemed you one of his closest friends, a brother if you will. He tried everything to hide you from the Darkarian hive, but Takhisis knew every move and intercepted you, turning you into Sklavus once again, this time, for good." Aurora paused a moment. "Before your capture, my father had me hide you, taking you far from USI territory. We spent several years together and grew closer. It wasn't long before you and I were inseparable, together always." "What are you saying, Aurora? Were we.." "Lovers.." Aurora interrupted. "We fell in love." Chance's expression changed to shock. "We tried desperately to keep our relationship a mere friendship, but we couldn't help ourselves.. I couldn't help myself." Aurora continued. Chance let go of Aurora and paced slowly back and forth. He was unsure what to make of her words. "I loved you." Aurora said softly. "I still love you.. I always have.” She looked at Chance, trying to figure out what kind of reaction she was getting from him. Suddenly he stopped, turning and looking at her. "When I was turned into Sklavus...what did I do to you?" Aurora turned away. He had asked her the one question she couldn't talk about. "I...don't want to tell you." "I must know!" he said, walking towards her. "Did I hurt you?" Aurora kept her eyes averted. "Please don't ask me that." "Aurora, please..." "No! I can't handle this!" She turned away quickly and headed for the nearest turbolift, disappearing as the doors shut and leaving Chance alone with his questions. It pained him to see her so upset. What was worse, he did not know what Sklavus had done to her. "" "Go ahead." "" "Mr.. Solran, I am sure your people can handle the job, why don't you come and join us here for dinner?" asked Chance. "" "That's an order Lieutenant." ""
