## Notable Features ## Servittians are a terran-like species with a few notable differences. Outwardly, they have facial markings which appear near the jawline and extend down their neck and on to their shoulders, chest and back. The patterns are largely random and can vary with saturation, both light and dark shades appear. This pattern is a genetic mutation introduced by the Darkarian hive, marking them as subservient to the hive. The pattern itself is otherwise not seen to provide any other significance, but is generally associated with the hive.^[Other species have also been known to be marked in a similar manner once conquered by the hive, but not outright fully integrated.] Internally the Servittians also differ with greater bone density and muscle mass. For the hive, this makes them ideal candidates for conscription into their combat forces. Coupled with an easy to repair body, they are the most commonly seen drone and minion grade Darkarian. Several subraces of Servittian have been introduced by the hive in order to tailor fit the species to the needs of the hive for various tasks. ## Gestation Period ## Servittian have a gestation of about 3 months, at which the child is birth at around 4 kg. Servittian mothers require a great deal of energy during the gestation process, and are generally bed ridden while pregnant. They are physically fully adult at 10 years, with similar height to Terrans, and a weight of 120% higher. ## Enlightenment ## Servittians which are enlightened are done so early on (around age 5) in order to have less character personalities, and one that is more aligned with the symbiont design. Only about half of the births are sacrificed to the hive, and they are usually part of specialized breeding programs or part of the introduced subraces to ensure only teh highest quality individuals are introduced into the hive.
