The Akerian Kingdom is located in the Zeta Trisector ( Coordinates 3,2) in the vicinity of the Igerian Consulate, the Dragoon Legion, the Orrin, and the newly claimed territory by the USI Starcorps. [[toc]] # The Modern Kingdom The Modern day Kingdom is similar to its original conception after they broke away from their Expletun rule, it is ruled by a monarch King whos lineage is descended from leaders of their revolutionaries and formed the leadership of the akerian species. While a monarchy wasn't an original design for government after the revolution, those leaders were revered nearly to the point of worship, and a kingdom was create almost organically. The ruling family is the Zh'harth Pack. The current King is Regar Zh'harth. Both a King and/or Queen may be in rule over the kingdom. The King is referred to as Zh'an, and his Queen Zh'ak. ## Politics The Kingdom is a mix of pure Monarch rule and Democracy. There stands a Parliament called the Council of the Dead, in which elected officials, Priests, preside to represent areas of Aker. These officials can create and enact laws, but only with the approval of the ruling family. The Ruling family is by requirement there to support and provide for the people and are to act as a check against the Council. ## Military The Military is not governed by either the Monarchy or the Council, but a volunteer civil leadership, known as the Kamat. They act as the third check to the Kingdoms military. The Monarchy has power to direct and command the military for all foreign affairs, however the Kamat has veto power for all conflicts and to specifically overthrow the ruling pack monarchy. ## Size The Kingdom used to once span a great deal of area, and their influence could be seen all over the galaxy with their tower pyramid momuments they constructed. Over the course of the million year wars, the Hive has reduced their occupying space to the modern day area we see now on the maps. The Kingdom no longer has a desire or means for great growth, now wishing only to satisfy their own self preservation in hopes of riding out the conflict of the million year war.

## USI The kingdom, like the other chosen, are allied with the USI Starcorp towards the end goal of ending their threat and finishing the Million year war. ## The Chosen The Kingdom is allied with the other chosen as well, The Nephatsu and the Metorians. ## Igerians The Consulate and Kingdom are on friendly terms and have had no conflicts in the past. Their governing space zones have a bit of a gap where there has been no need for conflict or diplomatic negotiation. ## Orrin There is great conflict with the Orrin and nearly all their surrounding territories as they continuously battle for growth and resources. ## The Darkarian Hive Naturally, they are strongly opposed to the hive and have a long and blood history defying their drive for conquest.

## Creation The creation of the kingdom came about after the start of the Million year War (then referred to only as the Expletun Civil War.) Several hundred years after the Akerians declared their formal opposition to the Expletuns, and their opposing Factions the Preservers and the Darkarians, a monarchy was formed surrounding the original freedom fighters pack, the Zh'harth. At the time, the Akerians occupied planets in the vicinity of the Expletun home world (Meer) and eventually left and settled in their modern day Aker and Territory (3,2). ## Conflict During the million year war, the conflict allowed the Kingdom to remain relatively conflict free internally, with it consuming their fear and anxieties of losing their freedoms. The ever present threat of Enlightenment was always enough for the Kingdom to remain united against that single cause. ## The Last Era The last era marks the longest period of time in which the Hive remained hibernated. Unfortunately this allowed a degree of complacency and the guard of the Kingdom and its subjects were allowed to be let down. While minor internal conflicts were present, the ruling pack has been able to maintain its status.
